TOP PICK PARA HOY MIERCOLES 9 DE MARZO

TAMPA BAY DOWNS Race #3 at 1:15 PM Eastern
Top pick: #12 (MORADOR LLERS) - He raced evenly last out at this tag going shorter in his first back off an 8 month layoff and the leading trainer at this meet (Jamie Ness) brings him back quickly and stretches him out an extra 1 1/2 furlongs. Draws a nice outside post and he's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Paradise Dancer) - Not many 11yr.olds still running and even fewer are still competitive. Here's the exception as he run well in his last five starts and they came following a bit more than a half-year's absence. Gelding by "Langfuhr" has speed/stalking ability and has raced well on this surface in the past (4-1-1-2). Looks like the main danger.
3rd pick: #3 (Mad Mecke) - One run type finished a close-up 3rd last out at this tag and trip in his 2nd start back from a two month vacation. Fits, but needs to improve some to challenge the top two selections.
4th pick: #8 (Big Texas Daddy) - He had some real promise early in his career when in the barn of Steve Asmussen. Colt by "Valid Expectations" was a stakes winner at age two and has placed in several others. However, that was then and this is now. His form has taken a dramatic following a claim last August at Monmouth and he hasn't been competitive since. Last out he sowed some speed and his barn brings him back in 7 days. May factor at a big price.
